Feb 2007 Cruise Info … Now Availible.

General, Newsletter Comments Off on Feb 2007 Cruise Info … Now Availible.

Dear friend,

At long last, you can find the information on next February’s cruise on my
website at ..

http://www.denissnowdon.com/tours/Feb07Cruise.pdf

I had a long, hard look at various alternatives, and as this is our 23rd
annual winter Caribbean cruise, it’s a challenge to find something a little
different.

I hope you like our choice, as we will be sailing on Holland America’s
Veendam out of Tampa. We will be returning to a smaller ship, and I
know that appeals to many. The 14 night cruise is new for us, and those
extra days away from the cold of winter will be a bonus for a lot of us.

As always, we will spend one night in Florida ahead of the cruise, and I
think you will enjoy the Clearwater Beach/St.Petes beachfront hotel that
we have chosen for your overnight stay.

Because of the size of the ship, there are not as many balcony cabins
available, but we have obtained a number in our allocation. However,
Holland America reserves the right to recall these cabins at any time, so
early booking of those cabins is especially highly recommended.

Denise and I hope you will be able to join us on the cruise, as so many
have done in the past. We will have the usual get-togethers on board
that help to make our cruises just that little bit special.

Joyce Laking at Vision 2000 Ancaster is again looking after the
reservations, and you can call her toll free at 1-866-648-4483. Should
Joyce not be available, Joanne Patterson will be happy to assist.

Have a wonderful summer, and Denise and I look forward to seeing you
next February, if not before !

Yours Aye,

Denis Snowdon

SPRING NEWSLETTER
——————————————————————————–

SHOW NEWS:
——————————————————————————–

The spring ratings are out again, and in the 35+-age bracket we are again in # 1 spot in all of Ontario in our time slot, and a very respectable # 2 in the all age group category.

Our CD: A little Breath of Scotland” continues to sell very well, and we had to do a second pressing. It is an ideal gift, and at $14.99 doesn’t break the bank either! You can check out some of the stores that carry the CD by checking the show notes at www.denissnowdon.com.

Some of the stores, including The Scottish Company and The Wee Scottish Loft offer purchase on the internet for those not close to a location.

TOUR INFORMATION
——————————————————————————–

Our Panama Canal cruise was a great re-union of lots of friends, and many new ones as well. There are a few photographs on our album you might want to have a look at.

The Virginia Beach tour with Great Canadian Holidays was a great success, and if you have a chance next year to go to the Virginia International Tattoo, you’ll enjoy it, as it is a great spectacle.

The Mediterranean cruise, leaving on September 23rd has one inside cabin still available. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit some great destinations in the company of a great group. If you would like more information, you can log on to www.denissnowdon.com.

I can now let you know our plans for next winters cruise. We have obtained space on Holland America’s Veendam, and we will depart Toronto for Tampa on February 3rd, for an overnight stay in Clearwater/St.Petes, before boarding our ship for a 14 night cruise .
The itinerary includes stops in San Juan, St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, Grenada, Margarita Island, Bonaire, Aruba and finally Grand Cayman.

I know many will enjoy the chance to sail again on a smaller ship, with just 1200 passengers. Details on costing will be available in a couple of weeks, but I can tell you that because of the size of the ship, balcony cabins are at a premium, so very early booking will be essential to guarantee a balcony on this 14 night cruise.

BITS AND PIECES
——————————————————————————–

I will be the M.C. at the Fergus tattoo again this year on the Friday night, August 11th. This is my 19th year at Fergus, and looking forward to another great night.

Saturday September 16th sees me again at the Beaches Celtic Festival at Kew Gardens in Toronto, along with Frankie Benson and some great entertainment. This is a free event in a lovely park setting. Things generally get under way shortly after noon. More information at www.thecelticfestival.com

I hope you are all well, have a wonderful summer, and once again, thanks so much for listening to the show, and spreading the good word about it as well.
