Radio Show Info and Updates
February 20th marked the beginning of my annual feature of Andrew Cruickshank, Geraldine McEwan and Brian Cooper’s epic “the Story of Scotland” a new episode will be featured in the second hour of the show each week for the next several weeks. As an exciting addition to the show this year you will be able to find the audio from that portion of the show posted in the show notes on the website. If you missed any shows you will be able to catch up on what you missed! In the past I have received tonnes of email from listeners about show content and now I am able to provide that information in the show notes section of the website. According to my webmaster that is the most popular section of the site so far!
New material comes in all the time; it’s interesting how people find out about the show. Winnipeg, Manitoba and Carthage, Missouri were just two of the postmarks from the past couple of weeks that amazed me!
Alastair McDonald (Massacre of Glencoe) sent an e-mail, so we will be looking for a goody bag from him in the next couple of weeks.

Tour Updates
In January we had our annual “Burns’ Cruise” and by all measures it was a success!! Everyone enjoyed the time away and the celebration. You can find some great pictures in my favourite part of my website … the photo albums. Many folks are looking forward to next years all ready!!
You can find information on the website about my upcoming tours with ‘Great Canadian Holidays’. The next two are the ‘Atlantic Canada Tour’ and my 26th Annual ‘Tour of Scotland”. Bookings for the tours are being managed through ‘Great Canadian Holidays’ and as you have now come to expect you can find all of their contact information on the website. The Atlantic Canada tour is 3/4 full, so if you were planning on coming, sign up soon, or it will be too late. The 26th annual tour of Scotland is also getting great response. If you can’t come this year, perhaps you know of someone who is looking for such a tour. You can’t beat letting a Scot show you Scotland, can you? Coming up
Looking forward to the release of our CD, due out late spring, with great music, and lot’s of favourite artists.
The weekend of May 27th, I’ll be at the Scottish Pavilion of ASTA, the Association for Scottish Traditions and Arts. More about this on the show, closer to the time.
The second week in August sees the 60th Fergus Highland Games. I can hardly believe that the Friday night tattoo started in 1988, and I’ve been fortunate to have been the MC for every one! How time flies.
We are involved in the Prostate cancer awareness week pipe band parade in Toronto, and on Sept 18th, I will be an honourary pipe major in the parade that goes from City hall to Queens Park. With the help of Pipe major Stewart White of the Milton and district Pipe band, we will have our own pipe band for the day, called, the AM740 pipes and drums, and I will be inviting listeners who are pipers and drummers to come join my band for the day!! More info on this later…stay tuned, but keep practicing those pipes and drums
September 24th see’s Kew Gardens as the venue for the Beaches Ceilidh Festival, and Frankie Benson of the Radio Erin Show and I will be on hand to help with the event. If you’ve never had the chance to hear Frankie perform, this is a great opportunity, and the event is free!!!!
